A stay-at-home Easter isn’t so bad with this Jansz. Scrambled Egg recipe. Enjoy this egg-cellent dish for brunch!
6 eggs, 4tbsp cream, pepper, salt, olive oil, butter, 3tbsp mascarpone, 1tsp truffle salsa, tabasco, 4 slides of sourdough bread, serrano ham.
Mix the eggs and cream in a bowl. Add pepper and salt to taste.
Stir the mascarpone together with the truffle salsa*, two drops of tabasco and salt in a small bowl.
Put oil and butter in a pan and add the egg mixture. Slowly stir with a wooden spoon until baveax (as creamy as custard). In the meantime, toast the sourdough bread in a toaster or grill.
Build up the toast in order, with truffle salsa, serrano ham, scrambled eggs and top it off with fresh truffle or finely chopped chives.
*not a big fan of truffle? Use green herbs for the salsa instead.

There are many reasons to love chocolate! It makes you happy, smarter, reduces stress and helps us to relax. Try make this iconic Jansz. Chocolate Fondant at home and impress the entire family with the all-time favorite dessert of our chef. Let’s get baking!
2 eggs, 120gr sugar, 85gr flour, 100gr milk chocolate, 100gr butter, 15ml cream and 50gr dark chocolate.
Sillicone half-ball mall, piping bag, aluminium cake moulds, mixer and baking spray.
For the filling, melt the dark chocolate au bain-marie with the cream and put the mixture in the half-ball mall. Place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In the meantime, mix the eggs and sugar with a mixer until expanded to three times its original size. Melt the milk chocolate with the butter au bain-marie in a separate bowls and use the mixer to mix it with the eggs and sugar. Stir in the flour and put it in a piping bag.
Spray the cake moulds with the baking spray and add the mixture. Put the half-ball chocolates in the mixture and add a thin layer. Place the cakes in the oven for 8 minutes.
Let the cakes cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Garnish with (homemade) ice cream, cookie crumble and cherries.

A Jansz. iconic, if we may say so. The Marinara Meatballs have been on the menu since the opening of our restaurant and ready for you to make in the comfort of your own kitchen. Yummy!
500gr minced veal, 500gr minced beef, 500gr ground pork, 300gr bacon, 30gr parmesan cheese, 120gr bread, 42gr salt, 120gr sour cream, 30gr fresh garlic and frying oil.
Mix all the ingredients, except the frying oil, in a bowl. When mixed well, create small balls with your hands. Heat a frying pan with the oil and bake the meatballs slowly until golden brown.
200gr carrots, 200gr celery, 16gr salt, 100ml red wine, 50gr garlic, 16gr basil, 400gr peeled tomatoes (canned), 200gr onions and 8gr oregano.
Chop the carrots, celery, garlic, tomatoes and onions. Add it all to a heated saucepan and bake shortly. Add the rest of the ingredients and let it cook slowly for 20 minutes. Mash and sieve the mixture.
Serve the meatballs with the sauce and top it off with parmesan cheese and lemon zest.

Bonjour mesdames et messieurs! If you enjoyed a breakfast or lunch at Jansz. before, you probably are familiair with our French Toast. Though, we doubt anyone would have guessed the French toast is traced back to the Roman Empire. In France, the dish is called ‘pain perdu’ which means ‘lost bread’. In this sunny country, the sweet dish is consumed as a dessert unlike in other countries, where it is mainly served as breakfast. Many like their French Toast with maple syrup, forest fruits or whipped cream. But, there are also more remarkable variations, such as the English who serve it with gravy and even ketchup. What’s your favorite kind?
